Balthazar...

Balthazar is 110 lbs of opinionated Alpha male briard with trust issues. Due to a job change, his owner drove him to Arizona from Cape Cod because he knew that Balthazar would not allow me to touch him at first meeting. Turns out he wouldn't let me touch him for 6 months. Finally he decided that maybe I was to be trusted. While Balthazar will most likely never leave the Haven. He is happy here. He rules the yard and announces visitors, loves to go to Dairy Queen and is my travel companion when I drive to Mexico. With Balthazar by my side I have nothing to worry about.

Joy...

This 4 yr old "crop and drop" cutie has Diabetes. She is a happy girl and learns very quickly. Obviously Joy likes cats and she also gets along with other dogs and kids too. She has certain needs for her illness but it doesn't slow her down much. She is on a special dry food and insulin shots daily. Joy has won her foster mom's heart and she will never give her up. She now lives in NJ.
